We Try Charlotte Tilbury’s New Mascara in Pursuit of Bigger Lashes

No-one does drama and flair quite like Charlotte, and Exagger-Eyes is no exception. Housed in a glass bottle that keeps the formula fresher for longer, it’s smudge-proof, sweat-proof and flake-proof – delivering lashes that look too good to be real.

We asked four MECCA HQ team members to turn up the volume and test it out themselves. Here’s their review…

What Taylor noticed first was this mascara’s luxe packaging: “I love that it’s in a glass bottle. It just looks so sleek and elegant.”

After applying Exagger-Eyes, her lashes were looking longer and more lifted, with her team noticing and commenting on the difference.

“It gave me so much volume in only a few swipes. I'll definitely be wearing it day to day, especially when I’m going for a more glam, sophisticated look,” she tells us.

According to Iman, the perfect mascara is more than just an incredible formula; the way it applies and removes are just as important.

“The applicator is my favourite part of Exagger-Eyes,” she says. “It’s the perfect size for my eye shape and lashes, easily coating each hair – even the smaller ones in the corners, which are usually so tricky to get to.”

She adds, “I usually struggle to remove mascara and end up having to really rub my eyes and create a mess. I didn’t have this problem at all with Exagger-Eyes; it came off effortlessly when I wanted it to – but not a moment sooner.”

With an aversion to flaky mascaras, Isabella is always on the hunt for a coat that won’t leave her closely resembling a panda by the end of the day.

“The first time I tried Exagger-Eyes, I went for a run after work and to my delight it did not budge one bit. I was instantly sold!” she tells us.

Isabella says the buildable formula strikes the right balance between not too wet and not too dry: “You can layer and layer and layer it without dealing with any flakiness or smudging. I love it!”

With blonde lashes that match her even blonder hair, Sophia prefers a mascara that leaves an impression. Was Exagger-Eyes up to task? Yes.

When wearing it throughout the day, she told us there were no ‘panda eyes’ in sight: “I didn’t experience any fallout, which is rare for such an intense mascara.” She adds, “It’s also a great mascara to transition from day to night as you can reapply to build up the volume without fear of clumping.”
