First, skincare – while Mason mentions that your makeup artist will always start with moisturiser, he recommends “making sure you're delivering maximum hydration to your skin in the days before, then coming in with clean, moisturised skin on the day.”
But the most important prep step, according to Mason? “Have your inspiration photos ready beforehand. This guarantees you'll get the best outcome possible, leaving you feeling beautiful on the inside and out.”

Ask for: "A light-coverage satin base with a soft glow on the cheek, and only a touch of blush and bronze. For the brows, get them lightly brushed up, followed by a soft wash of natural colour over the eyelid and a nude lip gloss."

Ask for: "A glowy base with light to medium coverage and defined, bronzed cheeks. Then, a soft wash of shimmer or glitter over the eyes with a defined outer corner, topped off with a nude, satin-finish lip."

Ask for: "A more full-coverage base with contouring on your cheeks and nose. For the eyes, focus on brown-toned shadows and a smoky winged liner, finished with nude lip liner (darker than your natural lips) and gloss."

Ask for: "A light-coverage, glowy base with minimal blush and fluffy brows. The star of the show is a gradient of bright colour all over the eye, winged out on the outer corner. Top it off with mascara and liner, then a soft nude lip balm or sheer lipstick."

Ask for: "A natural-finish base, with light bronzing and blush. For eyes, ask for some definition around the lash line, followed by a long-wearing red lipstick to suit your skin tone and outfit."
