This time, we're sitting down with artist Bethan Laura Wood, the recipient of the MECCA x NGV Women in Design Commission, in her London studio.
In partnership with the National Gallery of Victoria, the Commission champions the creative women changing the design world – a major ongoing series that invites internationally renowned female designers and architects to create new and important work for the NGV Collection. This year, we're so proud to be working with the enormously talented Wood, who is a multidisciplinary designer with a radical approach to materiality, colour and striking patterns.
Wood (with her new furry friend Wilma in tow) joins MECCA In The Chair to share the inspiration behind the incredible kaleidoscopic library installation she’s creating for the NGV, her creative process, and of course, her signature makeup look – which combines pops of colour, dots and vibrant details in much the same way her designs do. Watch and be inspired!
