Treat yourself
If you’ve walked away from your holiday celebrations with a MECCA gift card (or several), lucky you! Just remember: leave it too long, and there’s a chance you’ll forget entirely – so now is an excellent time to pick out an end-of-2024 beauty treat. Lip combos for compliments
You’d be hard-pressed to find a desk in MECCA HQ without a lip product (or three) propped up next to the keyboard. A question often overheard in the office is, ‘What lip combo is that?’ – and while the possible answers are endless, there are a few duos everyone seems to love. Take notes…
Très chic
Somewhere between a stain, balm and lipstick, VIOLETTE_FR’s Bisou Balm is the perfect French-girl lip. The key is to keep the look hazy, never sharp – if you’re using liner, blend it out with a brush before topping with Bisou Balm (a favourite is the raspberry shade ‘Amour Fou’).
Cherry cola
A deep brown liner and high-shine red gloss are a ’90s match made in heaven. The perfect brown is typically something a few shades deeper than your natural lip colour – and when it comes to the gloss, Gisou’s Honey Infused Lip Oil in ‘Cherry on the Cake’ is universally flattering.
