Swifties, the Eras Tour is here. Taylor Mania is about to sweep Sydney and Melbourne – get ready to see friendship bracelets, cowboy boots and cardigans everywhere.
If you were lucky enough to score tickets, you’ve probably been thinking about your look since that coveted email confirmation landed in your inbox. Maybe you already have one beyond anyone’s wildest dreams – but after months of perusing the internet for makeup inspiration, you’ve come up with sweet nothing.
MECCA HQ’s biggest Swifties – and makeup experts! – are here to get you out of the woods. Inspired by our favourite eras, these four looks will have you covered.
The signature red lip

It’s the quintessential Taylor-inspired look: the scarlet lip. If you want a true red with a matte finish, we recommend NARS Powermatte Lipstick in ‘Dragon Girl’ (a Swiftie favourite). To make the lipstick stay stay stay, pair it with a matching lip liner.
Naturally, you’ll need winged liquid eyeliner in the blackest of black shades too. Finish with a coat of waterproof mascara (to make your lashes secret song-proof!).
Shades of midnight blue

There’s no shortage of looks to be inspired by from this era! If you want to show off all the different shades of midnight, pair a blue shadow with a turquoise liner.
If you're feeling simply bejewelled, pop some silver shimmer in the inner corner and finish with a nude glossy lip for a look worthy of a mastermind.
If you’re dressing for revenge

Have bad blood and want to embrace your villain origin story? Try a black smoky eye, embellished with a hit of silver glitter.
In her Rep era, Taylor also deepened her famous red lip to match her darker vibe. Pairing a deep brownish red lip liner with a matte red lipstick will give you the same look.
Paint a pastel dream

If your Eras Tour outfit has you reaching for a fuzzy pink coat (and you’ve got fingers crossed for your favourite surprise song that night), layer pink, blue and yellow eyeshadow for a makeup look to match. Make sure to blush it up for the ultimate afterglow and draw a small heart on your cheek with lip liner – and don’t forget to swipe on a glossy lip!
