The Moisturising Soft Lotion 50ml

My skin loves this soft lotion. It's so light weight in texture but it's a true heavy weight when it come to hydration and moisture for the skin. I used it after my daily regimen but I decided to not add any of The Renewal Oil just to see how well it performed on its own because this was a first time for my skin with this product from LaMer. WOW. It's totally amazing. My skin felt smooth, plump, hydrated, and ready to take on whatever comes at it. Gentle must-have moisturizer. It has a subtle pleasant classic scent. It always works amazingly for my combo skin. Since using it my skin has always looked radiant and smooth. It absorbs really nicely and doesn't suffocate your skin.

I was really excited to receive a sample of this product, as I have always been curious to try La Mer products, but could never justify $385 on a moisturiser. However, after using the sample (I managed to squeeze three days of use out of the tube) I was left genuinely confused as to why it is such a raved about product. Firstly, the consistency is thick and doesn't spread far - I felt I needed a lot more product than I should to cover my face. It is heavier than I thought it would be, and left my skin shiny and oily for a good 10 minutes after applying. I needed to wait for it to sink in for ages before starting my makeup. It had the kinda heavy texture a product with an SPF rating often has, however I can't find any evidence it provides sun protection. This texture may be good for people with drier skin or who prefer a thick cream moisturiser, however, it didn't suit my combination skin. The product is also highly fragranced. This doesn't bother me as I don't have any skin sensitivities. However those who are sensitive to fragrances should be careful. I also didn't particularly love the fragrance - it reminded me of an Avon moisturiser my grandmother used to use. In summary: Not a bad product, but also not great for my skin either. I definitely couldn't justify the price.
