Light the candle and this precious accessory starts to spin, creating a magical interplay of shadows and light. The Diptyque lantern, a true icon of the holiday season, is here reinvented. It celebrates the pine tree – an iconic emblem of winter. On the top sits a star.
Candle sold separately.
To celebrate the holiday season, Diptyque presents an enchanted interlude, inviting you to discover a world of wonders in the company of artist Lucy Sparrow. With magic in her fingertips, Sparrow has created an imaginative reinterpretation of the season's classic symbols and the iconic imagery of the Maison. Pine trees, pine cones and gingerbread men mingle with candles and fragrances, all coming to life and transformed by felt. A whirlwind of sensory delights, encouraging you to rediscover your inner child. Make the most of the festivities – and make them last.
The Sapin (Pine Tree) lantern is designed to be used with a classic candle. Once the candle is lit, carefully position the lantern on its stand. In the heat from the flame, the accessory will start to rotate. Since different candles generate different levels of heat, the speed of rotation may vary (from slight rotation to rapid). When removing, extinguish the candle and give the object a little time to cool down. Avoid touching the top of the carousel as this is where the heat will be at its most concentrated. The first time the candle is lit, allow it to burn for 2 or 3 hours until all the wax has become liquid on the surface. Trim the wick regularly (ideal length: 3 to 5 mm). When extinguishing the wick, check that it is straight and centered. We recommend airing a room after burning a candle.
